Renowned actor and filmmaker Humayun Saeed say that love, marriage, and relationships are not bound by borders, the ban on Indian and Pakistani citizens traveling to each other’s country should be lifted, and politicians need to understand this.
Actor Humayun Saeed gave an interview with the Indian news agency Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) where he talked about the feeling of love from one person to another, marriage, and relationships. He said that love is a passion that is not bound by any borders like humans. He talked about the successful marriages between Pakistani and Indian citizens and emphasized that there should be no barriers between the two countries because love, marriage, and relationships have no boundaries.
The conversation started with the example of a recent incident where Seema Haider, a Pakistani national, fell in love with Sachin Meena, a resident of Rabopura, Greater Noida, bordering India, while playing the PUBG game. Now, Seema lives with her four children at Sachin’s house in India. Talking to the Indian news agency IANS, the famous Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed said that it is not just romantic love, but love in all its forms can be between two nations.
Speaking in the same context, Yemayun Saeed also gave an example of the successful love and marriage between former Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and Pakistan cricket team’s famous batsman Shoaib Malik. He said that the successful marriage of Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik is also an example, apart from this, I also know a couple who is an Indian video director who married a woman from Lahore and this couple now lives in Mumbai.
51-year-old Humayun Saeed also gave the example of British-born Pakistani actor Ali Khan. He said that actor Ali Khan was also married in Pakistan and he lives and works here. He said that it is clear that love, marriage, and relationships are not bound by borders. India and Pakistan speak the same language, so there should be no barriers. Giving the example of his family, Humayun Saeed said, “My father was born in India and he always wanted to visit India once and see his birthplace, but now he has passed away and his wish could not be fulfilled, but I want to visit this place.”
He further said that therefore the borders between Pakistan and India, I want citizens of both countries to be able to travel to each other and meet each other, I am not saying that both countries can work together but at least we can see each other’s work, appreciate each other’s work, I think there should be no problem. ‘Expressing disappointment, the actor said that Pakistanis ‘unfortunately’ don’t get visas to visit India, and now it’s impossible for Indians to travel there or come to Pakistan, he said that surely love knows no borders, and these politicians should understand, I wonder how we can understand them.
“I used to cast Bharat TV actors Amina Sharif, Juhi Parmar, Shweta Tiwari, Rajeev Khandelwal in my show,” Humayun recalled the old days. The opening theme of the show was given by the famous Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal. He also revealed that filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt used to visit him in Pakistan and talk about their friendship. Humayun Saeed said that Mahesh Bhatt used to visit me here and I used to visit him in India. We are still in touch, Mahesh Bhatt also always tried to make India and Pakistan work together, so I got Indian TV actors to come and work here, I loved working there and eating at the ‘Mahesh Lunch Home’ in Mumbai.
He said that when there was no visa ban, people from both countries used to enjoy each other, I used to do post-production of my films in India, my family was very happy, and my wife knows about every market in Mumbai, I hope those days will come back. Talking about the Asia Cup 2023, Humayun Saeed said that the World Cup is also going to start where India and Pakistan will clash, so Pakistanis should be issued visas, the Pakistani team should visit India and play, and we should also get a chance to go there.
