Maher Khan shared the pictures of Mayan on his Instagram and wrote that “Mother wish was that the marriage should begin with a prayer”. Actress Mahira Khan, who recently tied the knot, shared a loving message for her mother with her fans by posting pictures of Mayans and Dua ceremony on social media before her wedding.
Mahira Khan married her long-time friend, industrialist Saleem Karim, on October 2 in the tourist destination of Punjab, Murree, and the actress’ son Azlan was also present at the wedding.
This is Mahira Khan’s second marriage, she was previously married to Ali Askari in 2007, with whom she has a son, Azlan, who was born in 2008. The pictures and video of Mahira’s wedding ceremony went viral in India as well as in Pakistan, after which congratulatory messages were sent by fans from both countries.
After the wedding pictures, now Mahira Khan has shared beautiful pictures of the pre-wedding ritual ‘mayun’ and ‘dua’ ceremony. Mahira opted for a designer Umar Syed ensemble at the Dua function, the actress looking stunning in a beautiful kameez with golden embroidery paired with a white churidar pajama.
While she opted for a designer Zara Shah Jahan ensemble at a Mayan event, Mahira Khan looks gorgeous in a dupatta with green embroidery and a beautiful orange frock. In all the pictures, Mahira looks very charming and beautiful with her hair tied up and minimal makeup.
The actress wrote in the caption, ‘My mother had one wish to start my marriage with a prayer. My beautiful mother is in a wheelchair, people thought that she would not be able to do anything in my marriage but believe me, she did. Did everything at my wedding.
Mahira Khan added about her mother, “She sat and arranged the decorations, arranged the table and furniture and she did everything on time. I thank God for having such parents.” The actress added that after prayer, my childhood friends arranged my Mother’s day ceremony, I also thank God for such friends whom I consider like my sisters.
