Actor Affan Waheed, who has made people crazy by acting in web series including dramas and telefilms, will soon be seen in action on the big screen with Sonia Hussain. Affan Waheed took to Instagram to promote his upcoming film ‘Rafi: The Untold Story’. shared the promo posters, in the caption of which he wrote the name of Sonia Hussain.
Actress Sonia Hussain also shared the posters shared by Affan Waheed in her Instagram stories and expressed her happiness to be a part of the film. Sharing the posters of the film, the actress said that her upcoming film ‘Rafi: The Untold Story’ will be with Affan Waheed.
Regarding the film, Express Tribune reported in its report that Affan Waheed confirmed that the film is being made on the life of Pakistan’s renowned scientist Dr. Rafi Chaudhry. He said that the film will show the era of 1940 and the film will also include Haryanvi Ranghari, a language spoken in the Indian state of Haryana, in addition to Urdu and English.
He declined to divulge more details about the film and did not reveal any details regarding its release. The posters shared by Affan Waheed suggest that he will be seen playing the protagonist Muhammad Rafi Chaudhry’s youth in the film, but it is too early to say anything about it.
It should be noted that Dr. Rafi Muhammad Chaudhry is called the “Father of Nuclear Physics” of Pakistan, he is counted among the founding scientists of the nuclear program. Dr. Rafi received the honor of getting his Ph.D. from Cambridge University under the supervision of renowned physicist Rutherford, while prominent scientist Dr. Samar Mubarak Mand has been his student.
At the time of the establishment of Pakistan, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru requested Dr. Rafi to continue his duties as the head of the Physics Department of Aligarh University, but the patriotic scientist refused the invitation of Quaid-i-Azam and Government College Lahore. Joined and established the High Tension Laboratory there, this institution played a central role in Pakistan’s nuclear program in the future.
In 1960, Dr. Rafi joined the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and was appointed Director of the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology. He authored 42 research papers on sensitive nuclear technology and headed ‘PARR One’. The reactor was set up. Meanwhile, he was appointed Director of the Radiation Physicist Division, where his efforts to further research on radioactive materials led to the establishment of the ‘PARR-2’ reactor.
