Bollywood’s versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has responded sharply to those who criticized his romantic scenes with an actress 29 years younger than himself, saying that there is no age limit for romance.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui will soon be seen romancing his 29-year-younger actress Anvit Kaur in the romantic comedy film ‘Taco Weds Shiro’.
The trailer of the said film was released a few days ago and the film will be released on the streaming website on June 23.
While Nawazuddin Siddiqui is shown as an emerging actor in the film, 21-year-old actress Anvit Kaur is also shown as an actress.
The film has several romantic scenes between 49-year-old Nawazuddin Siddiqui and 21-year-old Anvit Kaur and there are also kissing scenes between them in the film, which have been criticized by the fans.
Most people criticized Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anvit Kaur for the huge age gap and said it was shameful that an older man was being shown romancing a young girl.
However, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has defended his romance with an actress younger than himself on the reaction of criticism on him, saying that there is no age limit for romance.
Talking to ‘India Today’, Nawazudden Siddiqui argued that actors like Shah Rukh Khan have done the same before him.
He said that Shah Rukh Khan still comes as a romantic hero because actually, the new generation does not know how to romance.
Nawazuddin Seddiqui claimed that older actors love to romance, while the new generation is devoid of romance, they don’t know how to love, which is why they don’t appear in romantic roles.
The Bollywood actor said that there is no age limit for romance and that there is nothing wrong with his romantic scenes.
He further argued that in today’s age of WhatsApp, everyone knows about romance and romantic people love without life imprisonment.
