After the public reaction to the World Cup 2023 anthem released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), singer Ali Zafar announced that he is going to make the World Cup anthem on the strong demand of the fans.
On September 20, the ICC released the official anthem of the Cricket World Cup 2023. The lyrics of the anthem were composed by famous Bollywood composer Pritam Chakraborty while renowned actor Ranveer Singh performed in the video.
The video of the anthem released with the title ‘Dil Jashan Bole’ tried to portray the passion and excitement of cricket fans, but people did not like the song and it was heavily criticized on social media. Meanwhile, Pakistani fans requested singer Ali Zafar to release the World Cup anthem. Ali Zafar announced that he is going to make the anthem of the World Cup due to the strong demand of the fans.
While releasing the video on YouTube and social platform X, he said “Pakistanis have very few opportunities to enjoy themselves and people want cricket, and World Cup anthems to be loud.”
Ali Zaafar said that this year, at the request of you guys, I have an idea of how I can make the best anthem together with you guys.
The singer addressed his fans and invited young music composers, writers, and producers to help create a new anthem with Ali Zafar.
Ali Zafar said that this time I don’t just want to hear my praise, but this time we will make an anthem for the first time democratically in which you people are praised.Ali Zafar explained, “People who are fond of making songs and are skilled in making lyrics should support me. I want this time not only me to write lyrics and lyrics, but talented people who come up with ideas.” They think, they know how to write song lyrics, they should be given a chance.’
He said that you can share your lyrics, lyrics, and ideas with me by tagging me on the comment section of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube videos, you can also hum your lyrics and share with me. ‘ Singer Ali Zafar said that this is perhaps the first time in history that people are trying to create an anthem for themselves democratically and the result is in the hands of Allah.
Ali Zafar has been prominent in creating the anthems of Pakistan Super League (PSL), the country’s biggest T20 cricket tournament. Ali Zafar composed and performed the first PSL anthem ‘Ab Khel Ke Dakha’ for the inaugural season of PSL in 2016. For the second season of PSL in 2017, Ali Zafar once again performed a rousing anthem titled ‘Ab Khel Jame Ga’.
Ali Zafar won the hearts of fans by composing ‘Dil Se Jaan Laga De’ for the 2018 season. It should be noted that the biggest cricket tournament World Cup 2023 will be played in India which will continue from October 5 to November 19.
