Indian TV channel ‘Zindagi’ released the trailer of one of Pakistan’s most popular dramas ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ and announced that it will be aired on TV from August 2.
Several popular Pakistani dramas are already being aired on ‘Zindagi TV, including ‘Kahan Ke Ahe Sache Ahe, Qisa Mehrabano Ka, Chipke Chipke, Dambakht: Atesh Ishq, Asmanan Peh Lakha, Jo Chale To Jaan Se Pass Gaye, Yeh Dil Meera, Yeh Rahe Dil and Suno Chanda 2’ among others.
Now ‘Zindagi TV’ shared the trailer of ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ on social media and announced it to show it on digital platforms including TV channels from August 2.
‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ was the most popular drama of 2019 and 2020, in which Adnan Siddiqui played the role of a married rich man named ‘Shahwar’, who falls in love with a married poor woman.
Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui’s character in the drama ‘Shahwar’ falls in love with Ayeza Khan’s character ‘Mahwish’ while the actress Mehwish’s character is the wife of Humayun Saeed, the poor character of the drama ‘Danish’, but due to poverty, Mehwish wants to divorce her husband and marry a rich man ‘Shahwar’.
In the play ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’, unlike Pakistani society, the play was also heavily criticized for locking a married man and woman into a relationship due to wealth and circumstances.
However, it also became the most popular drama in the history of Pakistani television and will now be shown in India as well.
It is also worth mentioning here that ‘Zindagi’ TV is the only TV channel in India that broadcasts the dramas of other countries including Pakistan in Hindi and Urdu language.
Well, this channel was launched in 2014 under ‘Zee Entertainment’ initially it was just a TV channel, but later it was made into a digital streaming channel only under the application of ‘Zee Five’.
The ‘Zee Five application is also owned by ‘Zee Entertainment’ but later rebranded ‘Zindagi’ as a TV channel and offered it on Dish and other platforms as well.
At present ‘Zindagi’ can be viewed not only as a TV channel but also on various digital platforms.
‘Zindagi’ TV stopped showing Pakistani content for some time after the ‘Uri attacks’ but later the channel started showing Pakistani dramas while the same channel also produced Pakistani web series.
Pakistani dramas and web series are very popular in India and people there are huge fans of Pakistani TV actors.
