It should be noted that the first trailer of Movie ‘Zindagi Tamasha’ was initially released in September 2019 and it was announced to be released in January 2020, but its release was delayed after objection from some religious circles. Zindagi Tamasha was accused of misrepresenting religious figures, while the filmmakers denied the allegations, claiming that the story of the film “revolves around a good cleric and the film does not misrepresent any person, sect or religion”.
After the film’s trailer was released, it was also deleted from all social media platforms following objections and threats from religious circles, after which the filmmaker approached the court to protect himself.
